Real Food. Real Ingredients. That’s what inspired us to open our first restaurant in 2004. Almost 20 years in and three locations later, we’re proud that our small chain of fresh casual restaurants created a buzz, becoming fondly known as “that lunch place.”

Great flavour is the foundation of our business. When we discovered unnecessary additives to common spices, we knew something had to be done. Intending to curate delicious spice mixes that are good for us and our customers, we set forth and created blends for soups, marinades, sauces, and dressings. The positive response from home cooks inspired us, sparking a desire to create our own spice company.

The pandemic gave us, and the rest of the world, a moment to reflect on what’s next. We decided to pivot our resources to make our passion a reality. This is where Bliss was born. With the same integrity and passion we had for our restaurants, we’re working to bring Bliss into everyone’s life.

Our chefs love creating new and exciting flavour profiles that delightfully confuse the palette, leaving you with unforgettable flavour notes and culinary experiences you simply can’t stop talking about. The result? Spice blends specially made with everyone in mind, from the kitchen novice to the adventurous home cook.

We approach sustainability as a social responsibility, not a publicity stunt. There’s no denying the reality that far too much waste ends up in our landfills and oceans. Our consciousness of this is reflected in our packaging. We encourage you to hold on to each high-quality glass spice jar purchased. Replenish your jars with our refillable packs or find creative ways to repurpose them in your kitchen.

We want to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. For every four jars purchased, one tree is planted. Together we can restore forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact worldwide. We truly believe that if you want to learn about the food you eat on a deeper level, you need to know the ones who grew and nurtured it. Imagine a world where farmers wake up at dawn with joy and passion for their work, not only driven out of a need to survive. Our mission is to revolutionize the food system by putting people first, especially farmers. For decades, farmers have been subject to poor working conditions and unfair pay practices. We aim to break this cycle by ensuring our ingredients are grown by people who rightfully benefit from their hard work.
